Friday, October 29, 2004 This folk song of the 60's blows me away.... *sigh* soooo super sweet... the soundtrack of "A Mighty Wind""A Kiss at the End of the Rainbow" By "Mitch and Mickey" Together: Oh when the veil of dreams has lifted, And the fairy tales have all been told, There's a kiss at the end of the rainbow; More precious than a pot of gold. Mitch:In tales of ancient glory, Every knight and maiden fair shall be joined when the quest is over, And a kiss is the oath that they swear. Together: And when the veil of dreams has lifted, And the fairy tales have all been told, There's a kiss at the end of the rainbow; More precious than a pot of gold. Mickey: My sweet, my dear, my darling, you're so far away from me. Though an ocean of tears divides us, Let the bridge of our love span the sea. (instrumental) Together: There's a kiss at the end of the rainbow, (they kissed) More precious than a pot of gold. si Monyet @ 10/29/2004 01:41:00 AM Tuesday, October 26, 2004 I just remembered the story that one of my professors told us... about the time she went to the casino with her colleague. The casino had lots of slot machines and people were hangin' on to them for dear life; a lot of them had been hangin' there for hours and hours. So my prof was trying to find an empty slot and when she finally got one, she won a little sum of money, and she stopped playing. Of course, she's a social psychology prof, so she understands very well about gambler's fallacy (the notion that if you try or play hard or long enough, you're gonna win- Ha! no! these things happen by chance, unfortunately) so as soon as she got off the slot machine, this old lady took her place right away, believing that that particular slot machine was magical/lucky. hahaha so her colleague pointed her to one of the slot machines. There was a guy who was hangin' on to the slot machine like he was stuck to it. Suddenly he was very restless and finally he went to the back of the slot machine and took a crap!.. yes, he took a crap, or shit, or whatever u wanna call it... and then he went back to his slot machine and continued to play. My prof told the security about what had just happened and the security guard muttered something to his walkie talkie and out came running 3 men fully dressed in their cleaning suits, with disinfectant, plastic bag, cleaning cloths and everything. They quickly and professionaly cleaned that guy's poo and moved on.. and they even have a code for it... "D3 here, done..moving on to F5" -->more shit to clean??? I guess... Unbelievable... so, my prof asked the security guard: do u mind telling me what just happened there? To which the security guard calmly replied :Oh, that guy had put in $800 and he's been here since morning, so there's no way we're kicking him out of the casino! So apparently, that type of behavior (peeing and pooing behind the slot machines) are NORMAL and acceptable! can u believe it??? People... you can never understand the way they act Better let them do just what they please They say one thing but do just the opposite How can you explain this? Strange... the working of the human mind Weird... is an underestimation Crazy... is the term more like it Insane... used too loosely Mentally disturbed... maybe closer to the truth Normal... who can define it? So what are we? Deviant? Unique? Who knows... Alrite... gotta be "normal" again now... ^_^ si Monyet @ 10/26/2004 08:02:00 PM Monday, October 25, 2004 Don't u just love rainy days? I love it!The air smells fresh, like everythin's been washed and cleaned... and also, the cold kinda calms down a bit too, so maybe that's why I love rain... drives the cold away... but then, u get that very very windy rainy days too... which I don't really like... cuz I'll be soaked from head to toe. Oww, now the sun's up... bright sunshiny day, I guess... bye bye rain... What am I bullshitting about? I guess I'm just anxious now that the exam is 4 hours away... so, bein' the crazy human being that I am, instead of studying and revising my notes, I'm writing on my blog... great! this is what you call "self-handicapping" in social psychology: Protecting one's self-image with behaviors that create a handy excuse for later failure. YEAH... nahh, no way... I ain't gonna fail... *sobs* Psychology and Law may seem very interesting and easy at first, but oh boy, did it get harder and harder by every chapter... Lord God, HELP ME! Alrite... I'm ready to "die"! I'm outta here... si Monyet @ 10/25/2004 09:16:00 AM Saturday, October 23, 2004 Testing... just learned sumthin new today... from a brand new fren..:) see..frens are good... :) A big thank you to Jhonie, who, from now on, will manage my blog template... hahaha... now I never have to worry about the looks of my blog... want anything changed, J's the man... ^_^ Now, J... this is the color that I wanted! merci, mon ami... alrite... I'm out... gotta study some more... *sigh* si Monyet @ 10/23/2004 07:24:00 PM Tuesday, October 12, 2004 Hey everyone,My book is done... sort of... not really done but I don't have time to do more touch ups and editing... so please excuse the not-so-organized writings and flaws... ^_^ If you're interested in reading it please send me your email address (the file size is about 120KB, not that big, but hotmail users may not be able to receive it) Once you've read it, please let me know what you think...
